Job fair and Mystery caller.

I went to get money to park for the job fair at the Palace. On the way, the battery light came on in my Neon, and I am now fairly sure that my alternator is no longer. So that would be the bad news.

The job fair went well, however. I talked to the Tigers first, and they are offering an internship, but it pays, $1,000 a month. The woman from the Tigers is going to call me next week about that opportunity. There is reason to get excited about that. I also talked to the Cavaliers, Blue Jackets, Pacers, Hawks, Pistons, Mad Ants, and a bunch of other companies. It was a really well run event. I was very excited to see a familiar face as soon as I entered the Palace. I saw an old friend from Eastern, Emmit, in the lobby. He told me that he landed a sports anchor job in Mississippi, and that he hated it, so he came back to find something else. We went to a lot of same companies, and it was nice to have someone to talk to, because some of the lines were really long. This was actually a good thing, a lot of the people were taking a lot of time to talk to everyone, and I enjoyed that.

Also while walking around, Michael Curry, current Pistons head coach, was walking around, and I got to meet him. That was pretty exciting, even though there's a good chance he won't be the coach much longer, cause he's not very good. It was still cool to see him make an appearance.

Well, I was done at around 4, and the game wasn't until 7:30. But I was worried that if I waited, and tried to drive home in the dark with my headlights on, I wouldn't make it, what with no alternator. So I drove home, and missed the game, which bummed me out.

When walking to my car, I got a voicemail from a man who said he was calling about my resume. He called my cell phone and the house. But neither time did he say what company what he was representing, and since I've sent out a million resumes, I have no idea who this guy is. But I called him back, and left a voicemail, so hopefully, we can solve that mystery tomorrow.
