Babies are coming...

My trip to Chicago was productive. We got Bryan prepared for his impending baby scenario. We did shopping, laundry, put things together we got for him at Ikea, cleaned, threw stuff away, donated stuff to the Salvy, moved some stuff to Al's house and rearranged furniture. I also assembled some baby strollers/infant car seats. We were going to assemble a crib, but we didn't get that far, we just ran out of time. So he'll have to figure that one out himself. Anyway, I feel a lot better about him having babies, like he's a little more ready to take it on.

On Saturday, Bryan and I took the kids to the comic book shop by his house, because the artist who does Tiny Titans was there signing books and drawing sketches. Bryan got me this copy, the first issue, signed. It's for kids, but I like it, it's cute, and it was fun to meet the guy, and the kids loved it. And while we were there, I got a copy of the Spiderman comic that has Barack Obama. So that was a nice little treat.

We also went to the place where Bryan works. I've been over there before, but I'd never been in any of the stores. They're pretty cool. It's called The Alley, and it's apparently a destination for punk, rock and goth kids all over the country. It's a sweet store, well it's actually a bunch of stores all in one area. I get myself a new pair of the yarn gloves I love so much. And I also saw the coolest hat ever, it was a winter hat that had a mohawk sewn in it. It sounds lame, but it's not, it's awesome. I want it. They had some other cool stuff too. I also met the boss, and learned a little about him, so that was neat as well

Also got to hang out with Al and Tab a bit. Watched Tropic Thunder Thursday night, and I walked around all weekend quoting Tom Cruise, "Take a step back so that you can literally, FUCK YOUR OWN FACE!!!" We also watched Zach and Miri Make A Porno. I love that movie too. We hung out, talked about Hollow Drive a bit, and had a good time.

So, not a bad weekend. Now we wait for ALG and SLG.
